Hank Conger

Hank Conger was selected 25th overall in the 2006 MLB draft by the Angels. That pick was obtained from the Cleveland Indians for losing free agent pitcher Paul Byrd. Hank made his professional debut last year playing in 19 games with the Arizona Angels. As a catcher coming out of high school into professional baseball, he adjusted pretty well in those 19 games batting .319. Our good friend Eric was able to have Hank answer a couple of questions for us about how he feels about signing autographs before entering his second year of professional baseball.

How do you feel about signing autographs in general? Do you ever get tired of signing autographs?

I really don't get tired of signing autographs because I think it's cool how people want to have your autograph and how they like to collect different things, but I do get tired of signing them when you have to sign over a 1,000 or so for different companies.

Most autograph collectors have a good knowledge towards the game. Do you feel respected by them or do you feel that they are using you for an autograph?

I do respect them because I know most of them have good knowledge towards the game. I don't feel like there using me, all they want is just an autograph.

If you could change one thing about autograph collectors what would it be and why?

One thing to change would be... maybe waiting for the season to get an autograph, so they can send it to the clubhouse or ST facility.

Do you sign your fan mail or have you ever? And which would you rather sign an autograph in person or through the mail?

It doesn't matter to me whether they ask through mail or through person because its all the same since they took time out of there own time to be willing to come up to you or send you mail.

If there was one baseball players autograph that you could have who would it be and why?

If there was one persons autograph to have it would have to be Babe Ruth's because when you think of baseball in general you think The Babe, he's the Michael Jordan of baseball.
